FAQ

What is the minimum Android screenshot size?

Google Play accepts screenshots as small as 320px on the shortest side, but 1080×1920 is the practical minimum for a listing that looks sharp on modern devices.

Do I need separate screenshots for tablets on Google Play?

Only if you want to appear in Google Play's tablet sections. If you skip them, your app simply won't be featured in tablet search results — it can still be installed.

Can I upload PNG or only JPEG for Google Play?

Both are accepted. Use 24-bit PNG for text-heavy screenshots where compression would blur type. Max file size is 8 MB per screenshot.
